Arizona State University conducting DMA candidate Melanie Brooks has commissioned several composers for this unique and adorable project pairing college wind ensembles with middle-school-age soloists in in the early stages of their instrumental study. I contributed a piece called X + X = ? for horn and alto sax soloists and wind ensemble.
